My name is Doug. I've lived in Asheville for twelve years. My wife Ann, an Asheville native, loves her town, too.

We decided to create this site for three reasons:

We think Asheville is great and want visitors (and locals) to experience it like we do.
I am passionate about entrepreneurship. I appreciate the risk our local entrepreneurs take and want to do what I can to support them.
The businesses created by the people who live here make our lives better. They deserve to be highlighted.

Behind every popular restaurant is a chef with a vision of the food and experience.

Each coffee shop has a different feel...for a reason.

Some of the most hospitable people on the planet become Bed & Breakfast owners. Their personalities show in their inns.

Each business shows the owner's unique take on what they do.

Our goal is to create a site about Asheville that is more than a list of places to go and things to see. You can read a menu somewhere else. You can only meet the menu writer here. We want to give others the chance to tell their story. You get to read their stories here. That's our unique take on Asheville. That's what we offer to you.
